Connecting to PlumoAI MCP

This guide walks you through connecting your AI tool to PlumoAI using the Model Context Protocol (MCP). PlumoAI MCP supports two authorization methods: OAuth (automatic) and Access Token.

Authorization Methods

Choose the authorization method that best fits your use case

OAuth

Recommended for interactive setups. OAuth is handled automatically - just provide the connection URL and authorization happens seamlessly.

Access Token

Best for programmatic access and automation. Generate a token from your profile and use it directly.

Method 1: OAuth Authorization

OAuth authentication is handled automatically by PlumoAI MCP. Simply provide the connection URL to your AI tool, and the OAuth flow will be completed automatically when you connect.

Automatic OAuth

When you connect using the URL above, OAuth authentication will be handled automatically. You'll be prompted to authorize the connection in your browser, and the authentication will be completed seamlessly.

Method 2: Access Token Authorization

Generate an access token from your profile and use it for authentication

Step 1: Generate Access Token

Sign in to your PlumoAI account at app.plumoai.com

Click on your user profile icon in the top right corner of the application

The Profile modal will open, displaying your account information

Click on "Generate Access Token" (with a key icon) in the account options section

Copy the generated access token. Important: Store this token securely as it won't be shown again

Security Reminder

Never share your access token publicly. Treat it like a password. If your token is compromised, generate a new one immediately from your profile settings.
